This project represents the lower level of a two-unit vertical conversion on Fisher Island — connected to the apartment above (Fisher Island I) via a newly installed staircase, transforming two separate residences into one generous, multi-level home. The brief was to create a natural companion to the upper apartment: sharing its restrained, textural sensibility while serving a distinctly different set of daily needs.

The lower level houses additional bedrooms, a dedicated yoga room, a larger laundry room, and a compact kitchenette — practical spaces that nonetheless demanded the same level of considered finish as the living areas above. The family room anchors the floor: designed as a genuinely relaxed retreat for reading, film, and board games, it is furnished in layered neutral tones with quiet hints of blue and green that echo the extraordinary sea views beyond. The overall effect is one of calm, purposeful luxury — a home built for real life at the highest standard of finish.
