Dating to 1926 and situated in Coral Gables' distinguished Italian Village, this landmark estate presented one of the most rewarding briefs Elizabeth Ghia Interiors has undertaken: to honour a century of architectural history while making every room feel warmly liveable for a modern family. The renovation was carried out with a deep commitment to historic integrity — retaining original details wherever possible, and introducing new elements that could hold their own alongside them.

The traditional design draws its palette from a sophisticated interplay of greens, blues, and occasional moments of coral pink — a combination that feels both rooted in the home's Mediterranean Revival character and unexpectedly fresh. In the main living room, custom-made curtains in a warm rose bring an unexpected softness to a space of real architectural weight; the same spirit of gentle surprise carries through to the in-law suite. Throughout, bespoke built-in cabinetry was designed to feel as though it arrived with the house, while classic upholstery fabrics and decorative trimmings were selected with an eye for both quality and longevity.
