Elizabeth Ghia is a Miami based high-end residential interior designer. Possessing an extensive knowledge of the history of furniture and textiles, coupled with conceptual excellence and execution, Elizabeth is known for translating her clients' vision into timeless, harmonious, and functional interiors. She feels strongly about using authentic and artisanal materials, and believes that every piece in the home should have significance to its owner, whether through symbolism, energy, history, or just sheer beauty. Elizabeth’s projects have included new build family homes, historic renovations, vacation villas, NY & DC pied-a-terres, along with a Miami swimwear store and its head offices.
Fortunate to have worked with some of the top talents in design and architecture, in London and New York, Elizabeth received her MA in History of Art, with a specialism in British Furniture, from the University of St Andrews, Scotland. Building upon this classic foundation she trained with leading design firms including an A-List yacht architect, where she was able to blend beauty with functional design. Elizabeth then moved into bespoke cabinetry design, focusing on luxury kitchens and bathrooms, before starting her own full-scale interior design firm in 2010.
Elizabeth has served as a member of the Historic Preservation Board for the City of Coral Gables. She was chosen to design the Grand Salon of the Miami Designer Showhouse at the historic Deering Estate, from which the proceeds benefited local charities.
Currently working in Miami FL, and the Washington DC area, Elizabeth is happy to consider commissions throughout the US.
